SOUTHBOUND XO RELEASE 'JOHN DOE'

LISTEN TO 'JOHN DOE'

Southbound xo add a bit of a “western” flavour to their trademark Country/Rock sound with ‘John Doe.’

The song explores the notion that even those who seem untouchable can be humbled in unexpected ways.

“It’s a song that delves into the intriguing world of a character we all know too well. With his predictable pick-up methods falling flat,” say the ladies from Southbound xo

“We turn the tables on this mysterious figure, leaving him stunned and unsure about what to do next!”

Southbound xo have fast become the hottest new band in Australian country music. The all-female act, featuring Missy Lancaster, Andrea Krakovska and Sarah Bernardo are making a major impression with their catchy, upbeat mainstream take on country music, which compliments their electrifying live show.

They’ve already scored two #1 singles on the Countrytown Australia Country Radio charts (with ‘This Is Us’ (3 weeks) and ‘Find Our Way’ which was also an AIR #1 all-genre single), have achieved over 10 million audio streams and have performed at major events such as CMC Rocks QLD, Savannah In The Round, Tumbafest and the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

They've also had #1 Music Vidoes on CMT Australia with 'This Is Us,' and 'Bar High.'

In late 2022, Southbound xo featured in their first international collaboration, ‘Buy You A Drink’ with US artist Austin Burke and Canadian country star Tim Hicks.

The fun has continued in 2023 with the release of ‘Boat’ and now ‘John Doe,’ plus debut appearances at major Australian festivals such as Gympie Music Muster, NQ’s Rockin’ Country as well as headline performances at the Caloundra Country Festival and Sydney’s Illuminate Festival.

Southbound xo also recently headlined their first international festival, the Top Paddock Country Music Festival in New Zealand, in May.
